hi friends!! i'm finally back in sunny singapore!! and oh boy, i already miss taiwan!!!
taiwan was seriously a BLAST. all we did was eat, shop, sleep, eat, shop, sleep. and repeat. and it was a land of EYECANDIES. really, i have so damn many pictures of hot girls and guys we were stalking. i have no idea how the girls can stay SO THIN when there's SO MANY good food around! and also the shopping. GOODNESS. the first night at ximending was crazyyy. at every shop we would stop and go "AHHH! SO CUTE!" it was totally like a mini japan. and ALMOST ALL the people there are really friendly and would chat with you.
ok i should upload pictures, so you can see the extent of our craziness.
us all super duper excited at changi :D
jetstar planes, are really the most economical of the economy. the leg space was really so super small it was so darn uncomfortable. but nevermind, for the price we paid it was so worth it. OH and there were a few irritating guys behind us. who kept disturbing huiyi and i. and so unfortunately, they were on the same flight back as us too. luckily not sitting behind us.
our first night at ximen ding! eating mee sua. it was super shiok. as you can see, rachel was enjoying it so much she couldn't even be bothered to smile. there were no tables or chairs to eat your mee sua and you had to stand by the roadside and eat. but was totally worth it. even though i kept pouring mee sua down on myself.
the first night, it was raining. and it was really freezing. everyone around us wore thick woolen jackets and all i brought was a cardigan. luckily janis lent me her trenchcoat, making me look like a detective also.
even after having one bowl of meesua each, we were all not full yet. and kept stopping at the roadside carts.
our second day at ximen ding! with our pearl milk tea. apparently, the quality of the nai ca determines rachel's whole day. so we kept having to drink nai ca that wasn't too sweet and was just the right temperature every morning just to make rachel happy.
us finishing up our drinks so we can go into the train station. and rachel hugging me. this was what i was subjected to for the past 5 days.
us at the subway.
please dont laugh at rachel.
ahahhahaha the guy behind us had "MONSTER HAIR" and it was sooo fascinating that we had to take a pic of it. and there was rachel pretending to pose. hhaha and i think that guy had an idea what we were doing, so he was looking our way. anyway, almost every guy in taiwan had hair like that. and anytime we saw that hairstyle, we would go "monster hair monster hair monster hair"
i think rachel was trying to eat me .
our beef noodles were really damn super shiok. and it was so cheap too. :D
this strawberry mango dessert thingy was seriously damn good. it may be 100000 calories but it was worth it. :D
hahahhaa we were laughing like mad inside the lift. this poor girl's job consisted of talking to no one in particular and pressing the lift for you. she will say stuff like "welcome, what floor would you like? sorry to keep you waiting, this is your floor, hope to see you again, have a nice day" like ROBOT. hahaha.
huiyi thought this guy was SUPER cute. so she kept spamming photos of him in my camera. but he looks like he's had botox on his lips or something!!!
then we went to this place for shopping called wufenpu. goodness that place is like .... bugis street. but ten times bigger. and ten times cheaper. we shopped SO much that we didnt have time to take pictures of everything. it was seriously SO huge that we kept getting lost. and so we decided to point out the food carts so that we can find our way back. but then after that we realised that... the food carts kept moving all around the place. so one minute we saw this food cart at the entrance, and the next moment after you come out of a shop, you see the same food cart.
and then huiyi and janis saw these two guys at the back. and thought they were really cute. but they're so ah beng la. and so again, spamming pictures with my camera.
we got back to the hotel after a crazy 7 hours shopping trip at wufenpu, and tried on allll our clothes! do take note that we were really high at that point.
HAHAHAHHA INMATES. hahahhaha we are so super retarded.
then we decided to pretend to be japs. and spammed pictures again.
rachel's shirt actually said PROFESSIONAL HUGGER. hahhaa that shirt was made for her.
the third day, we had breakfast in bed!! went down to the super lousy buffet and then brought the food up to our hotel room.
and then we were off to this sightseeing place called danshui. where there were really alot of china people shoving me around. grr.
and then i saw this really PRETTY girl. stand beside me. HAD TO TAKE A PHOTO.
HAHAHA RACHEL THE INDONESIAN TAITAI. hahahahhahaha
while walking to dan shui, we saw JAY CHOU. so we talk a photo with him.
actually no la, it was just a random guy we just had jay chou's hair and performed some david blaine stuff for us. but he was quite noob cos we could see how he did all the tricks.
and there was this turkish ice cream guy. who was so super entertaining. he would pass you the ice cream, and then just as you're about to take it he will pull it away, then he will give you the cone and take away the ice cream on top.
then we went to shilin night market. where it was seirously a food haven. but sadly we went on a saturday night. and it was seriously boob-to-back situation. couldn't walk AT ALL. so we decided to faster grab some food and sit at the entrance of a temple (haha) and eat.
us enjoying our food :D
and after eating our food. we decided to cam whore. and go high. seriously, everyone was looking at us like we were squirrels or something. and we kept using the multishot function and laughed like maddd.
us being high. and i have no idea what janis was doing. hahha
i tried it and it's not as smelly as everyone says it is. but it didnt taste good though.
the next day, we woke up at 12. and then went for the ma la steam boat buffet. it was so freaking good. the food was free flow. the drinks were free flow. there were cheesecakes, tiramisu, mousse and so many other cakes. PLUS FREE FLOW OF HAAGEN DAAZ ICE CREAM. beat that! we took so super alot!! and we ate like 3 scoops each kinda thing. for only like 20 something sing dollars for the entire buffet.
and taiwan is a super dog friendly place. they allow dogs in the subway, in shopping centres, in restaurants. and they are alllll so well groomed. this dog was at the steam boat restaurant and it was SOOO CUTE. so took a pic of it :D
the aftermath of the buffet. this is what i see when i look down. my tummy. was so huge. that I CAN'T EVEN SEE MY FEET!!!!!
then we met this SUPER PRETTY SALES GIRL. SHE WAS SOOOOOOO CUTE. and TALLL. and she was so cute. she looked like she was gonna cry when we kept bargaining. SUPER CUTE.
and then we took a cablecar up to this mountain place. where you could see the whole of taiwan. really pretty. and you could see how scared they were. cos the cablecar kept going up and down and up and down.
and then we sat at a tea house and had real chinese tea. it was a really chill place, and we sat there til we almost forgot that the cable car wasa bout to close.
yes rachel chiang, aka baby g. we know you're hot.
the hotel, seriously looks like SHIT from the outside. as we arrived from the airport. we were thought that we were gonna be staying in some shit hotel. we were so super duper scared.
and as we entered the building, we were really damn scared. we didnt even dare enter the lift cos it looked like it would break down anytime.
then as the lift doors opened and we saw the lobby, we felt so much more relieved.
and rachel welcoming us to the hotel. janis and i were rather turned off.
ok a rather random picture. but the dog was like, welcoming customers into the shop. so cuteee.
and okay, my camera has super little pictures of the last day. cos guess what. I HAD DIARRHEA AGAIN!
i suspect it was the steamboat. cos my stomach is so weak it can't take too hot stuff. the last day was really hell. i shat, puked. shat puked. really. alternately. really felt like dying. but i still managed to persevere and finish up last minute shopping.
in total i think i spent like 600 bucks, but it was all super duper worth it :D i wanna go taiwan again!! :D but i think i would have to wait rather long, have to recoup all my losses.
anyway, i think someone's birthday is coming up. someone really cool. hmmmm. wonder who :D
